This is a summary of the August 2006 Meeting Minutes Start of meeting 11:19 am with 37 members present, 1 new member and 1 couple who was here for the first time. Minutes from the previous meeting were read . Nominations for president, vice president, treasure, and secretary were made and seconded. While paper ballots were being made up we talked about the old business the bylaws and then the new business items and then finally the elections. OLD BUSINESS Bylaws We will wait for next month to vote on keeping old bylaws or the new bylaws for the chapter. NEW BUSINESS 1) Welcoming members of the from Ohio GPAA chapter: Jeff and Sue H. 2) Welcoming new GPAA member Chris. Also since his second meeting at our chapter, he is now a full chapter member for the 2006/2007 season. 3) A new lock will be purchased for the front gate, to replace the old lock. 4) A suggestion for a vendor month will be voted on at the next meeting. That way besides the club raffles and store other people can setup and sell items. Voting next month for maybe the October meeting to have the vendors. 5) Website - Tim C. Has taken over the website and updating it. He is also looking for content for it, suggestions are being asked for, what kind of topics should be covered or had, things like gold recovery, puzzles, pictures, recipes, and the like, please let him know. He is looking for some one to maybe help out, or just to get your ideas. Also he is looking for someone that can play music, to maybe create some tunes for some videos he has taken to place on the website. Looking for some one to make us royalty free music so not to conflict with copyright laws, only type of payment will be credits on the website and screen credits on the video. 6) Gold show next year will be in Carlise, PA near Scranton, Pa. ELECTIONS The officers that won the elections for the 2006 thru 2007 season are: President: Sean McGarry Vice President: Calvin Treasury: Jim Graycar Secretary: Chris K. Note: The nominations were by hand count, and the voting was done by secret ballot and the counting was done by the 2005 to 2006 president Neil. Photo's of the outing can be found here.
