the meeting started with the pledge of allegiance being recited.
There were 78 people signed in but much more present at the meeting. Elections of Officers for the coming Season August 2008 to August 2009! The nominations are as follows: President: Calvin H. and John M. Secretary: Carly R. The winners of the elections are: President: Calvin H. Meeting information Now that we have a liability waver, the LMDA has recommended that we have Liability insurance. Calvin will be looking into this. It was started that people smoking please but your buts in the trash. The Buckeye chapter is having a trip to thermal city next year. There may be a another Herkimer Diamond mine trip this fall - See Keith R for more information. There was a motion to by a battery operated speaker system (PA system) since we have grown so big that everyone can't hear, it was seconded. But Marc said he has a karaoke machine that we can have, it will be tested out and see if it works well for us. At the October outing there will be a metal detection contest, Coin donations are being accepted, see Chris K. if you have any coins that you would like to donate. Calvin bought 5 big hams for the October outing. Calvin reminded everyone that the pop and water sales belong to the club. Chris K. donated a flag. Announcing 2nd Annual Membership Appreciation Day Ocober11th 2008 Times for events will be posted later
