Report:
March
Meeting
to
be
held
March
10,
2007
at
the
fire
hall.
The
Allegheny
Chapter
of
GPAA
will
be
attending
a
Cabin
Fever
Outdoor
Sports
Show
at
the
Eastwood
Expo
Center
in
Niles,
Ohio.
Our
Chapter
will
have
a
booth
and
will
be
having
panning
demonstrations
and
information
sessions
to
promote
our
hobby.
This
outdoors
show
is
the
largest
and
most
successful
Sportsman's
show
between
Cleveland
and
Pittsburgh.
The
show
will
also
include
information
on
hunting
and
fishing
supplies,
fishing
tackle
dealers,
gun
dealers
and
manufacturers,
fishing
charter
dealers,
ATV
hunting
vehicles,
towing
and
water
vehicles,
financial
institutions,
lodges
and
camps,
and
more!!
The
show
is
featuring
seminars,
lectures,
and
major
door
prizes.
Our
chapter
will
also
be
raffling
off
prizes
and
distributing
information
on
GPAA
and
gold
panning.
The
show
will
be
held
March
2nd
thru
4th,
2007
from
10
AM
to 9
PM.
Any

or

trip
to
Lake
Superior
on
May
11th
-14th,
2007.

Report:
The
Monongahela
Rock
hounds
would
like
to
attend
one
of
our
meetings.
Calvin
will
be
attending
their
meeting
on
March
3rd
near
Pittsburgh.
They
would
like
to
find
out
about
panning
for
gold
in
Pennsylvania
and
Ohio.
We
will
be
inviting
The
Rock
Hounds
to
our
April
outing.
An
article
in
the
Tribune-Review
from
February
4th
states
that
there
is a
gold
rush
in
the
Amazon.
One
man
panned
70
ounces
of
gold
($19,000.00)
in
17
days.
A
four
man
crew
panned
for
one
day
and
found
400
grams
of
gold
($8,000.00).
WOW!!!!
DO
NOT
forget
to
sign
in
at
each
meeting.
For
each
meeting
you
attend
during
the
year,
you
will
receive
that
many
free
raffle
tickets
at
our
December
meeting!!

a

our
members

traveling
to
The
Cotton
Patch
Mine
in
North
Carolina
in
the
next
few
months.

Report:
The
winner
of
the
December
Sluice
Box
was
won
by
Dan
Bednarofsky.
He
can
pick
it
up
at
the
next
meeting

at
Jim
Graycar's
home.
We
would
like

thank

donating
a
wet
suit
for
our
raffle!
Anyone
who
volunteers
in
the
kitchen,
making
coffee,
selling
tickets,

help
with

club

Christmas
