Welcome to the Allegheny Chapter of the GPAA website. If you are interested in gold prospecting in Northwestern Pennsylvania or Northeastern Ohio, then this is the place for you.

We are located in the Northwestern Mercer County. Our club property surounds Booth Run - which winds its way through glacial till. Gold is generally fine, but it is present. You’ll also find garnets, fossils, and other "treasures."

Meetings are the second Saturday of the month (see the calendar). Meeting usually starts at 11:30am and are open to the public. Anyone is welcome, but you must join the club to enjoy its full benefits.

Meetings from May through October are held at the club property. Meetings from November through April are held at the West Salem firehall a few miles away.
